Prominence II Server Hosting — Hasturian Era Requirements (2026)

Bernis·

Prominence II [RPG]: Hasturian Era is what happens when a modpack commits fully to the RPG fantasy — classes, skill trees, spellcasting (Iron’s Spells ‘n Spellbooks), gated progression, and boss gauntlets, all on Fabric 1.20.1. It’s one of the most-downloaded RPG packs on Modrinth, and multiplayer is where it shines: parties actually have roles.

How much RAM does a Prominence II server need?

PlayersRAM
2–4 party members6 GB
5–10 players8 GB
Ambitious guild servers10 GB

The load profile is spiky rather than flat: exploration and base-building are moderate, then a party pulls a boss arena or a dungeon floods with summons and entity counts jump. Size for the spikes — a server that’s fine at 90% of moments and chokes during boss fights is sized wrong for this pack specifically.

Setup walkthrough

  1. One-click install on FadeHost — the server pack, Fabric loader, and Java version are handled; you pick RAM and region.
  2. Version-lock the party. Hasturian Era revisions adjust class balance and quest data; a mismatched client can desync quest state. Pin one version, update together.
  3. Pregen before launch night (chunky radius 3000). Dungeon-dense worldgen means fresh chunks are expensive; pregenerated land keeps boss-hunt journeys smooth.
  4. Let the first boot finish — quest, class, and loot registries take a few minutes to build. Interrupting produces the “half the quests are missing” bug reports.
  5. Keep the bundled performance mods. The pack ships tuned (Lithium et al.) — adding extra “optimizers” on top causes more Fabric conflicts than it solves.

Common Prominence II server issues

Quest/class state desync → client version drift, almost always. Verify everyone’s on the pinned revision before debugging anything else.

Entity spikes during boss fights → expected; this is the moment your RAM tier is for. If 6 GB dips hard during arenas, that’s the signal to go to 8 — more players won’t fix itself.

Slow chunk loading on the frontier → worldgen density. Extend your pregen radius; it’s a one-time cost.

Cost to run one

A party-sized 6 GB server is $7.50/month ($2.50 base + 5 GB at $1/GB); the 8 GB guild size is $9.50 — daily backups and DDoS protection included either way. Roll characters on the 7-day free trial and fight your first arena boss before paying a cent.

More of a kitchen-sink crowd? All the Mods 10 is the other direction entirely.
