Your machine, professionally managed

You own the hardware and the RAM. We give you the software layer that makes it feel like premium hosting.

🖥️

Your hardware, no RAM caps

Run on a home PC, a spare box, or a VPS you already pay for. Use your machine's full RAM and CPU — servers on your own node never count against paid slots or per-GB fees.

🎛️

The full FadeHost panel

The same real-time console, file manager, one-click mod/modpack installers, backups, scheduling, and Discord integration as our managed hosting.

One-command setup

Paste a single command on your machine. Docker and our secure agent install automatically and your node is online in minutes.

🔒

Secure private mesh

Your node connects to FadeHost over an encrypted WireGuard mesh. No exposed management ports, no firewall wrangling, no static IP required.

🌐

Works behind any router

On home internet behind NAT? Our relay automatically gives your servers a public address so friends can connect — zero port forwarding.

💾

Automatic cloud backups

Your worlds and configs back up to secure off-site storage on a schedule — even though the server runs on your own hardware.

🔄

Self-updating agent

The FadeHost agent keeps itself current. New panel features — like wake-on-join — reach your node automatically, no maintenance nights.

💤

Auto-sleep & wake-on-join

Idle Minecraft servers can hibernate and wake the moment a player clicks join — they even wait in-game while it boots.

🕸️

Private networking built in

Your node joins your own private network. Hosted databases, Discord bots, and game servers reach each other securely across machines.

Host from home. No port forwarding. Ever.

The reason most people give up on self-hosting is the router. We removed it from the equation: your node opens an outbound encrypted tunnel, and our relay hands your servers a public address.

Online in three steps

1

Run one command

Copy the install command from your panel and run it on your Linux machine. Docker and the FadeHost agent set themselves up.

2

Your node joins FadeHost

It appears in your control panel over an encrypted mesh — nothing to port-forward, nothing to expose.

3

Deploy your servers

Spin up Minecraft and game servers on your own hardware, managed from the exact same panel as everything else.

your-machine — bash
$ curl -fsSL "https://…/byon/setup" | sudo bash
→ Installing Docker…
→ Connecting to FadeHost mesh…

Self-hosting without the sysadmin job

Running your own panel (Pterodactyl, Crafty, plain Docker) means becoming its administrator. BYON keeps the hardware yours and makes the software our problem.

The math is silly

Renting 16 GB anywhere
$15–60/mo

A heavy modpack with friends needs serious RAM, and rented RAM is priced per GB — forever.

The 16 GB box you already own
$0/mo on FadeHost

Connect it as your free node and run as many servers as it can handle — full panel, backups, and relay included.

What you need

✓ 64-bit Linux (Ubuntu/Debian recommended)
✓ x86_64 or ARM — Raspberry Pi 4+ works
✓ 4 GB+ free RAM recommended for Minecraft
✓ An internet connection — Docker installs itself

Made for people with hardware to spare

🏠 Home-lab owners

Put that idle NAS or mini-PC to work with a real management panel instead of SSH and tmux.

💸 VPS owners

Already renting a big VPS? Get FadeHost's tooling on top of it and stop paying twice for compute.

🚀 Big communities

Need serious RAM for a heavy modpack network? Run it on dedicated hardware, managed like a pro.

Questions, answered

+Do I really pay nothing for my first node?

Yes. Every FadeHost account includes one self-hosted node at no cost — no subscription required. Extra nodes are $3/month each. Servers running on your own node are unlimited and never count against paid server slots.

+Do I need to port forward or have a static IP?

No. Your node connects outbound to FadeHost over an encrypted mesh, and our relay gives your game servers a public address automatically. It works on home internet, behind CGNAT, and on networks you don't control.

+What are the hardware and OS requirements?

A 64-bit Linux machine (Ubuntu or Debian recommended) on x86_64 or ARM (aarch64/armv7) — a spare PC, NAS, mini-PC, VPS, or even a Raspberry Pi 4+. Docker is installed automatically by the setup script. For Minecraft we recommend at least 4 GB of free RAM.

+What access does the FadeHost agent have to my machine?

The agent runs your game servers in Docker containers and talks to FadeHost over an encrypted connection your node initiates. You can inspect the setup script before running it, and removing the node is one command — it's your machine, always.

+What happens if my internet or machine goes down?

Your servers go offline until the node is back — it's your hardware, so uptime is yours. The panel shows the node as offline, your off-site backups stay safe in our cloud storage, and everything reconnects automatically when the machine returns.

+Can I mix my own node with FadeHost's managed hosting?

Absolutely. Many users run a big modded server on their own hardware and keep a small always-on lobby or bot on FadeHost's managed nodes — all in one panel, on one private network.

+Which games and workloads can my node run?

Everything the panel supports: Minecraft (Paper, Fabric, Forge, modpacks), Valheim, Enshrouded, ARK, V Rising, Factorio, 7 Days to Die and more — plus Discord bots and hosted databases on the same private network.
