Where can I get a free Minecraft server trial without a credit card?
On FadeHost. You get a real server for 7 days, with 4 GB of RAM or 8 GB when you start it with a modpack, and you never enter a card. When the week is up the server stops, nothing is charged, and your world waits 14 days for you to pick a plan.
The trial is the paid service with the bill switched off: the same machines, the full control panel, backups, the always-on option and wake-on-join hibernation. It starts a Minecraft Java server, plain or with a modpack, and you can switch the server software from the panel at any time.

- Your server's address
- A short name.fadehost.gg to share
How does it compare with other free trials?
Most Minecraft hosts have no free trial at all: you pay for the first month and get a refund window of a few days. The trials we found run for one or two days.
Other hosts' terms as their own sites state them, checked November 2026. They change; check their site before you choose.
What happens when the trial ends?
The server stops and nothing is charged, because there is no card on file. Your world stays on our machines for 14 days; pick a plan in that time and the same server starts again where you left it. We email you before anything is deleted.
Can I run a modpack on the trial?
Yes. Pick a pack at signup or from its page and the trial gets 8 GB with the pack installed for you: mods, configs and the right Java, with the client-only mods that crash servers taken out.
The heaviest packs want more than 8 GB. Their pages say how much, measured on servers we host, and you set the size when you pick a plan. Browse the 1,300+ modpacks or start from All the Mods 10, Cobblemon or Pixelmon.
How do I start the trial?
Create an account, choose a plain server or a modpack and your country, and the server is created for you in the region closest to you.
- Sign up with an email address, or with Google or Discord.
- Pick a plain Minecraft server or a modpack, and tell us your country (and a ZIP or postal code where one is needed).
- The server starts on its own. A plain server is ready in about a minute; a modpack's first boot takes a few minutes while it installs.
Is there a free plan instead of a trial?
Yes. If you do not need a week of the full service, the free Minecraft server has 2 GB of RAM and no time limit. It sleeps when nobody is online and wakes when someone joins.
See the free Minecraft server. You can start with it and take the trial later.
Questions
Do I need a credit card for the free trial?
No. You sign up with an email address and your country. There is no card to enter and nothing to cancel.
Will I be charged when the trial ends?
No. Without a card on file nothing can be charged. The server stops until you choose a plan.
How much RAM does the trial have?
4 GB for a plain Minecraft server, and 8 GB when you start it with a modpack or pick a modded server.
Can I keep my world after the trial?
Yes. It is kept for 14 days after the trial ends. Choose a plan in that time and the same server, with the same world, starts again.
Can my friends join during the trial?
Yes. Every server gets a short address of its own (name.fadehost.gg) to share, and there is no player slot limit to buy.
Can I change the server software during the trial?
Yes. Paper, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge, and the Minecraft version: you can switch from the panel at any time.
Can I start a second trial?
No. The trial is for new customers, one per person.
What if my server needs more than 8 GB?
Pick a plan and set the size you need: every extra GB is $1 a month, and you can change it any day.
Is the trial the same as the free server?
No. The free server has 2 GB, sleeps when empty and has no time limit. The trial is the full service for 7 days, with up to 8 GB, backups and the always-on option.
